Adsorption equilibria and kinetics of CO2, CH4, CO, N2, and H2 on KOH-treated activated carbon pellets up to 1000 kPa

Suk-Hoon Hong et al.

Summary: Activated carbon (AC) pellets modified by KOH activation (KACa) or impregnation (KACi) were investigated for their adsorptive behaviors. The results showed that KOH activation improved the textural properties, while impregnation deteriorated them. The choice of activation method can be made based on specific application requirements.

Parallel and series multi-bed pressure swing adsorption processes for H2 recovery from a lean hydrogen mixture

Yongha Park et al.

Summary: This study investigated parallel and series pressure swing adsorption (PSA) processes for H-2 recovery from lean hydrogen mixtures, achieving > 99% H-2 purity. The parallel two-bed PSA process showed H-2 purity of 94.6-98.3% and recovery of 33.5-63.2%, while the series PSA processes achieved over > 99% purity and recovery of 62.478% and 82.643% due to additional pressure equalization steps and blowdown gas utilization. The parallel four-bed PSA process had the highest H-2 productivity, while the series four-bed PSA process achieved > 99% purity with a lower productivity.

Double-solvent-assisted synthesis of bimetallic CuFe-incorporated MIL-101 (Cr) for improved CO-adsorption performance and oxygen-resistant stability

The Ky Vo et al.

Summary: A bimetallic CuFe-incorporated MIL-101(Cr) adsorbent was developed with enhanced CO-adsorption capacity and oxygen resistance. The synergistic effect of utilizing Fe(II) and employing the DS method significantly enhanced the dispersion of formed Cu(I) in the support, leading to improved CO adsorption performance. The prepared CuFe-incorporated MIL-100(Fe) demonstrated superior oxygen-resistant stability compared to benchmark adsorbents containing Cu(I).
