Glycosylated zein as a novel nanodelivery vehicle for lutein

Ying Chang et al.

Summary: GLZ, a novel delivery vehicle developed by transglutaminase, was used to prepare lutein-loaded nanoparticles with improved entrapment efficiency and solubilization of lutein, leading to enhanced in vitro release and antioxidant activity. This study suggests that GLZ holds potential as an efficient nanodelivery carrier for lutein compounds.

Preparation and characterization of efficient and safe lambda-cyhalothrin nanoparticles with tunable particle size

Chunxin Wang et al.

Summary: This study developed a series of glucose-loaded lambda-cyhalothrin nanoparticles (LCNs) with tunable sizes, and found that the wettability, dispersibility, stability, and insecticidal activity of LCNs were particle size-dependent. The study not only provides a facile technology for preparing nanopesticides with tunable particle sizes, but also clarifies the effect of particle size on pesticide performance.

Emamectin benzoate-loaded zein nanoparticles produced by antisolvent precipitation method

Bo Cui et al.

Summary: Emamectin benzoate-loaded zein nanoparticles were prepared using an antisolvent precipitation method combined with orthogonal experimental design, with small size and high zeta potential. This nano-delivery system showed improved release and bioavailability compared to traditional water dispersible granules, and is applicable to a wide range of poorly soluble pesticides.

A stable polyamine-modified zein-based nanoformulation with high foliar affinity and lowered toxicity for sustained avermectin release

Long Chen et al.

Summary: Polyamine-modified zein (AM-zein) was synthesized to improve stability as a nanocarrier, enhance electrostatic force, and prepare AVM-loaded nanoparticles with high positive charge. The nanoparticles showed better leaf affinity and UV barrier effect. Additionally, they demonstrated significantly lower toxicity against zebrafish.
