Double-chamber plethysmography versus oscillometry to detect baseline airflow obstruction in a model of asthma in two mouse strains

Magali Boucher et al.

Summary: The study evaluated respiratory mechanics in a mouse model of asthma using double-chamber plethysmography (DCP) and found differences between mouse strains and alterations in mice exposed to house-dust mite (HDM). DCP successfully identified differences between mouse strains and detected changes caused by HDM exposure, suggesting that DCP may sometimes be more useful than oscillometry depending on the study purpose.
