Robustness of the Half-Metallicity at the Interfaces in Co2MnSi-Based All-Full-Heusler-Alloy Spintronic Devices

B. Pradines et al.

Summary: Based on first-principles methods, efficient all-full-Heusler-alloy-based spintronic devices could be designed by utilizing specific nonmagnetic spacers and electrodes to preserve the half-metallicity of the interfaces, resulting in high magnetoresistive properties.

Spin transport at finite temperatures: A first-principles study for ferromagnetic|nonmagnetic interfaces

Kriti Gupta et al.

Summary: Lowering symmetry at an interface enhances spin-orbit coupling and causes a discontinuity in spin currents passing through the interface, characterized by the spin-memory loss parameter delta. This parameter, along with interface resistance ARI and spin-asymmetry parameter gamma, has been calculated as a function of temperature for Co vertical bar Pt and Py vertical bar Pt interfaces. The study utilizes first-principles scattering theory to model conductance, local charge, and spin currents, accounting for temperature-induced disorder and spin disorder in ferromagnetic materials.
