Flow cytometric analysis of pollen and spores: An overview of applications and methodology

Paul Kron et al.

Summary: Pollen grains play a crucial role in plant reproduction and can be studied using flow cytometry. Despite the unique challenges posed by the complexity of pollen compared to single cells, research on the identification and isolation of pollen and its subunits, as well as the types of research applications, is essential for understanding key issues in plant reproduction.

Impact of outdoor air on indoor airborne microbiome under hazy air pollution: A case study in winter Beijing

Feng Zhou et al.

Summary: Exposure to indoor airborne microbiomes is closely linked to human health. In this study, indoor bioaerosols in winter Beijing were characterized, showing lower concentrations compared to outdoor bioaerosols. The community structures of indoor bioaerosols were distinct from outdoor ones and were differently affected by ambient air pollution, with significant changes observed in indoor fungal community impacted by hazy air pollution.
