Resilience-based mathematical model to restore disrupted road-bridge transportation networks

Summary: This paper focuses on enhancing the resilience of transportation networks by developing a mathematical model that minimises recovery time and prioritises restoration of damaged bridges. A genetic algorithm is applied to solve the model for large-scale road-bridge transport networks, resulting in the best recovery trajectory and shortest total recovery time. The study evaluates the impact of different community investment structures on the recovery process and network recovery time.
