Prioritizing adoption barriers of platforms based on blockchain technology from balanced scorecard perspectives in healthcare industry: a structural approach

Summary: This paper introduces for the first time the barriers to implementing blockchain technology-based platforms in the healthcare sector from a balanced scorecard perspective, and prioritizes these barriers using a structural approach based on the weighted influence non-linear gauge system. The proposed approach is evaluated through ranking the barriers to BT adoption in the healthcare industry in Iran, and results indicate that financial issues, security issues, lack of expertise and knowledge, and uncertain government policies are the most important barriers.
