Summary: The study found that homodimeric BMP-2 had a stronger osteoinductive effect within adipose tissue at a lower concentration than heterodimeric BMP-2/6 or BMP-2/7. This suggests that it may be easier to translate adipose grafts activated by homodimeric BMP-2 clinically. Additional preclinical in vivo gene transfer studies are needed to confirm these results.
