Summary: This study found that nurse participation in hospital affairs had the lowest satisfaction rate among the five dimensions of nursing work environment. Nursing work environment and its five dimensions significantly affected work-related outcomes, partially mediated by work engagement. Corresponding measures should be taken to improve nursing work environment and build harmonious relationships between nurses and physicians to enhance quality of care and reduce turnover intention.
