CdTe and Ag nanoparticles co-modified TiO2 nanotube arrays for the enhanced wastewater treatment and hydrogen production

Summary: In this study, Z-scheme photocatalysts of TiO2 nanotube arrays modified by CdTe and Ag nanoparticles were successfully prepared. The CdTe/Ag/TiO2 NTs sample exhibited superior photocatalytic performances compared to the other samples, achieving high efficiency in pollutant degradation and hydrogen production under visible light irradiation. Additionally, the effects of light intensity and pH on photocatalytic performances were investigated.
