In this work, the epsilon-constraint method and particle swarm optimization algorithm are used to simultaneously address the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and CO2 emissions. The cost-emissions Pareto fronts of different HRES configurations are developed to gain greater awareness about the potential of renewable-based energy systems in off-grid applications.
