New MoO3-CeO2-ZrO2 and WO3-CeO2-ZrO2 nanostructured mesoporous aerogel catalysts for the NH3-SCR of NO from diesel engine exhaust

Jihene Arfaoui et al.

Summary: Higher NO-SCR performances can be obtained between 200 and 500 degrees C over the new ternary MoO3-CeO2-ZrO2 and WO3-CeO2-ZrO2 catalysts. Above 90 % NO conversions into essentially N-2 (>= 97 %) are achieved between 350 and 500 degrees C over the most efficient MoO3-CeO2-ZrO2 ternary catalyst.

New Mn-TiO2 aerogel catalysts for the low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NOx

Jihene Arfaoui et al.

Summary: A new series of Mn-based catalysts prepared by the sol-gel method show high efficiency in converting NO to N2 at low temperatures. The addition of cerium and/or sulfate can adjust the activity of the catalysts and increase the conversion rate.

New CeO2-TiO2, WO3-TiO2 and WO3-CeO2-TiO2 mesoporous aerogel catalysts for the low temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH3

Jihene Arfaoui et al.

Summary: The addition of Ce and/or W influences differently the structure, texture, crystallites size, surface oxygen concentration, total acidity and redox ability of aerogel samples and clearly affects their NO-SCR activity. It was found that cerium species are more active in the low temperature NO-SCR reaction than tungsten ones, and the NO conversion into N-2 reaches 85% at 300 degrees C and exceeds 90% between 320 and 400 degrees C over the WO3-CeO2-TiO2 catalyst.

Promotional effect of ceria on the catalytic behaviour of new V2O5-WO3-TiO2 aerogel solids for the DeNOx process

Jihene Arfaoui et al.

Summary: New cerium and/or tungsten modified V2O5-TiO2 aerogel catalysts were successfully developed using the sol gel procedure and supercritical drying approach. The addition of tungsten increased surface acidity and reactivity at high temperatures, while the addition of cerium improved redox properties and significantly increased NO-SCR reactivity at low temperatures. The V2O5-WO3-CeO2-TiO2 system showed the highest SCR activity due to strong interactions between cerium and other active elements.
