Summary: This study synthesized gold nanoparticles with a size of 25.31 nm using Hylocereus polyrhizus (Red Pitaya) extract as a reducing and stabilizing agent. The nanoparticles showed biocompatibility and physiological stability, and exhibited therapeutic effects in various biological assays. In addition, the nanoparticles demonstrated dose-dependent cytotoxic activity against HCT-116, HepG2, and MCF-7 cell lines.

Summary: In this study, a plant-mediated synthetic method was used to synthesize gold-coated iron nanoparticles. The synthesized nanoparticles showed high stability, low toxicity, and high permeability. Additionally, the nanoparticles exhibited significant antioxidant potential and effectiveness against Helicobacter pylori and ulcers.

The nanoparticles exhibited potent biomedical activities such as antibacterial, antifungal, insecticidal, antioxidant properties, and membrane damage. The use of silver nanoparticles also showed mortality against a common grain pest and scavenged DPPH free radicals effectively at different concentrations.

Green-synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles, anti-Alzheimer potential and the metabolic profiling of Sabal blackburniana grown in Egypt supported by molecular modelling

Summary: In this study, ZnO nanoparticles were successfully synthesized using methanolic extracts of leaves, fruits, and pollen grains of Sabal blackburniana. The nanoparticles showed good stability and exhibited potential anti-Alzheimer activity. Analysis of the extracts revealed the presence of various chemical compounds, including flavonoids, steroidal saponins, terpenoids, alkaloids, lignans, sterols, and fatty acids. The non-glycosylated flavonoids were identified as potential compounds responsible for the observed anti-acetylcholinesterase activity of the extracts.
