Selective Detection of Picric Acid and Pyrosulfate Ion by Nickel Complexes Offering a Hydrogen-Bonding-Based Cavity

The optimized CN-NS/CDs/Ag3BiO3 system showed high efficiency in degrading pollutants such as methylene blue, malachite green, Rhodamine B, and methyl orange under visible light, attributed to Z scheme heterojunction and improved charge carriers segregation efficiency.

1,4-Benzoquinone and 1,4-hydroquinone based determination of electron and superoxide radical formed in heterogeneous photocatalytic systems

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the interaction between superoxide radical ions and 1,4-benzoquinone in photocatalytic reactions. It was found that at high concentrations, BQ reacts with photogenerated electrons instead of O-2(center dot-) radicals. The degradation of the resulting product, 1,4-hydroquinone, was found to be dependent on the presence of O-2(center dot-) radicals.
