Influence of surgical quality (according to postoperative radiography) on mortality, complications and recovery of walking ability in 1425 hip fracture patients

Jose Cordero-Ampuero et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the influence of surgical quality on mortality, complications, and recovery of walking ability in patients older than 64 with hip fracture, finding that appropriate reduction is a significant step to reduce mortality, while the recovery of walking ability in patients post-surgery is not significantly related to surgical quality.

Improved Implant Positioning of Cephalomedullary Nail for Trochanteric Fractures Using the Stryker ADAPT Navigation System

Trevor Simcox et al.

Summary: The study compared lag screw positioning using ADAPT navigation to conventional methods and investigated the impact on TAD, screw position, operative time, and radiation dose. Results showed that ADAPT navigation improved lag screw positioning and TAD, but did not significantly affect operative time and radiation dose.
