Experimental demonstration of harmonic mode-locking in Sb2Se3-based thulium-doped fiber laser

Xiaohui Ma et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated the potential of using Sb2Se3 as an optical switch or mode-locker in fiber lasers. Experimental results showed that Sb2Se3 exhibited high nonlinear optical modulation characteristics and optical switch capabilities in a harmonic mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser (TDFL).

Green Synthesis of Carbon Dots and Their Application as Photocatalyst in Dye Degradation Studies

Maria Zaib et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized carbon dots from leaves of Elettaria cardamomum and characterized them comprehensively. Additionally, spectral analysis revealed the excellent photoluminescent properties of the synthesized carbon dots. The visible light-induced degradation of congo red dye showed optimal results under acidic conditions, while methylene blue dye degradation was most efficient under alkaline conditions.
