Design and simulation study of double side-cavity gridless reltron with dual extraction sections

Summary: A computer-aided design and simulation-based study of a double side-cavity gridless reltron, an advancement of conventional reltron, was reported using CST Microwave Studio software. An extra mode in DSC reltron was identified in addition to the three normal modes of a conventional reltron, and the device performance was studied using a particle in cell solver, achieving a peak efficiency of 38.6%.
