Microstrip Quazi-Elliptic Bandpass Filter With Two Pairs of Antiparallel Mixed-Coupled SIRs

Alexander Zakharov et al.

Summary: The analysis of a second-order mixed-coupled bandpass filter of general form is conducted, exploring the position of transmission zeros, frequency dependence, and conditions for equidistant arrangement of transmission zeros between adjacent resonators. A fourth-order microstrip quazi-elliptic BPF is proposed to reduce parasitic interaction between nonadjacent resonators.

Inline Combline Filters of Order N With up to N+1 Transmission Zeros

Jose Joaquin Vague et al.

Summary: This article describes alternative inline implementations for combline filters with transmission zeros located both below and above the passband. A systematic design procedure is presented for implementing up to N + 1 transmission zeros in an inline filter of order N. The generation of the transmission zeros is explained in terms of mixed inductive and capacitive couplings, and the manufactured filters show good agreement between measured and simulated results, fully validating the new filter concepts.

Inverse Nonlinear Eigenvalue Problem Framework for the Synthesis of Coupled-Resonator Filters With Nonresonant Nodes and Arbitrary Frequency-Variant Reactive Couplings

Martyna Mul et al.

Summary: This article introduces a novel circuit-level description model of coupled-resonator microwave filters, which utilizes arbitrary reactive frequency-variant coupling networks. The proposed model is more general and versatile than existing models, allowing for highly nonlinear characteristics, various types of couplings, and dispersive connections. The synthesis technique based on eigenvalues provides a powerful tool for designing and optimizing these filters, as demonstrated in the examples presented in the article.
