MoS2-Templated Porous Hollow MoO3 Microspheres for Highly Selective Ammonia Sensing via a Lewis Acid-Base Interaction

Fanli Meng et al.

Summary: This article reports the synthesis of porous and hollow MoO3 microspheres for the detection of ammonia gas. The study found that p-h-MoO3 exhibits ultrahigh responsiveness to ammonia with significant selectivity. The composition and morphology of p-h-MoO3 were characterized using microscopic and spectroscopic techniques, and the sensing mechanism was investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.

Unfolding photophysical properties of poly(3-hexylthiophene)-MoS2 organic-inorganic hybrid materials: an application to self-powered photodetectors

Vivek Chaudhary et al.

Summary: Self-powered photodetectors using solution-processable P3HT-MoS2 hybrid material as the active layer have been developed, exhibiting enhanced self-assembly and structural features. These photodetectors show significantly higher responsivity and detectivity, with values of 271.2 mA W-1 and 4.4 x 10(10) jones at zero bias for 470 nm light. Additionally, the photocurrent switching behavior of P3HT-MoS2 self-powered photodetectors under periodic illuminations has been examined, showing promising results.

Chemiresistive sensing of volatile ammonia over zinc oxide encapsulated polypyrrole based nanocomposite

Pratibha Singh et al.

Summary: This research manuscript demonstrates the chemiresistive sensing of volatile ammonia using a ZnO-en-PPy composite prepared with ferric chloride as a polymerizing agent. The composite showed optimized crystallinity, improved thermal stability, and responsive electrical conductivity against ammonia concentration. A portable resistive type ammonia sensor was successfully prepared with sensitivity range of 1 ppm-100 ppm, sensitivity 0.4947 k omega-ppm- 1, response time 45 s, recovery time 55 s, and stability for 90 days.
