Why double ovarian stimulation in an in vitro fertilization cycle is potentially unsafe

Angelo Tocci

Summary: This study found that two antral follicle recruitment waves occur in the ovaries of normal women, supporting the use of double ovarian stimulation in a single cycle to benefit poor responder patients. However, the mechanism and safety of the double stimulation strategy in the same cycle have been poorly addressed in previous studies.
