Association of the Implementation of Child Tax Credit Advance Payments With Food Insufficiency in US Households

Summary: The introduction of advance payments for the Child Tax Credit in mid-July 2021 was associated with changes in food insufficiency in US households with children, according to a cross-sectional study. This study suggests that the advance payment of the Child Tax Credit increased household income and may have acted as a buffer against food insufficiency.
