The delay of gas hydrate formation by kinetic inhibitors

Summary: The study found that kinetic hydrate inhibitor (KHI) can delay the nucleation of hydrates, increase the nucleation work required to form critical nuclei, and increase the effective number of sites where nucleation could occur.
