Food-related attentional bias and its associations with appetitive motivation and body weight: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Charlotte A. Hardman et al.

Summary: Food-related visual attentional bias is associated with craving, food intake, and hunger, but not with individual differences in body weight. This challenges the traditional view of attentional bias as a trait-like index of preoccupation with food and suggests new theoretical perspectives on food AB in appetite control and obesity.
