Pressure/colorimetric dual-readout immunochromatographic test strip for point-of-care testing of aflatoxin B1

Shan Jiang et al.

Summary: A sensitive immunochromatographic test strip (ITS) for detecting AFB(1) using dendritic platinum nanoparticles as pressure/colorimetric dual-readout probes was developed. The ITS showed a detection range of 0.05-10 ng mL(-1) with a detection limit of 0.03 ng mL(-1) for AFB(1). It was successfully utilized for detecting AFB(1) in herbal medicine samples, demonstrating its reliability for real sample detection and potential applications in drug and food quality control, pollutants monitoring, and medical diagnosis.

Development of a quantum dot nanobead-based fluorescent strip immunosensor for on-site detection of aflatoxin B1 in lotus seeds

Boyu Jia et al.

Summary: A quantum dot nanobeads (QBs) based lateral flow fluorescent strip immunosensor was developed for rapid detection and quantitation of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in lotus seeds. The sensor showed high sensitivity, with a detection limit of 1 ng/mL and a linear range of 1-19 ng/mL, and accurate results for samples with low, medium, and high spiking concentrations. The method provides a preferred solution for on-site screening and quantitation of AFB1 in a large number of lotus seed samples.
