BaSc2O4:Ce3+ phosphor prepared by high temperature solid phase method has good structure and particle properties. It can be excited by ultraviolet light and emit green light with high purity. By combining it with other phosphors, a WLED with good luminous performance can be obtained.
Preparation of BaSc2O4:Ce3+ phosphor is made by high temperature solid phase method. The prepared phosphor samples were analyzed by XRD, SEM, PL and CIE. The result shows Ce3+ doping does not change the phase structure of the BaSc2O4 matrix, and the particles have good smoothness, uniform element distribution, and have not other impurity elements. BaSc2O4:Ce3+ phosphor can be excited by ultraviolet light (439nm) and emit green light (495 nm) with good purity. The color coordinates of BaSc2O4:Ce3+ phosphor is (0.2493, 0.5239), and the color temperature is 7414 K, and the fluorescence lifetime is 1.49ns. By assembling this phosphor with red phosphor and blue chip, a WLED with good luminous performance can be obtained.
