Potential Contenders for the Leadership in Robotic Surgery

Rui Farinha et al.

Summary: The Da Vinci surgical system has been a leader in robotic surgery market since 1995, but new platforms like Revo-I, Versius, and Senhance have recently emerged. Among these, the Senhance robot has shown the most significant scientific evidence for minimally invasive urological surgery, potentially becoming a competitor to the Da Vinci system. The development of unique features in these new robotic platforms may offer cost advantages compared to the Da Vinci system, with the Senhance robot being in a more advanced stage of clinical studies validation.
