A Pd(II)-catalyzed C(sp(2)/sp(3))-H bond arylation protocol has been developed for the synthesis of ortho-diaryl, ortho-mono-aryl, and biaryl-diarylmethane-glycinamide derivatives bearing picolinamide as a directing group. Mechanistic details were investigated through computational modeling using DFT calculations.
