The article introduces the Specialized Group of Organometallic Chemistry within the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and its achievements in the field of organometallic chemistry. It also presents the RSEQ-GEQO Prizewinners Special Collection of EurJIC.
The Specialized Group of Organometallic Chemistry (Grupo Especializado de Quimica Organometalica, GEQO) was created within the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) in 1981, and organometallic chemistry research has grown immensely in Spain since then. Guest Editor Ana Albeniz, EurJIC's Editorial Board Chair and president of the GEQO, briefly introduces the Specialized Group of Organometallic Chemistry (Grupo Especializado de Quimica Organometalica, GEQO) of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) and presents EurJIC's RSEQ-GEQO Prizewinners Special Collection.
