Canning quality improvement in navy beans: genetic, environmental and compositional factors

Marketing constraints included payment issues, lack of diversity in off-takers, inflation, low grain producer prices, delayed payments, and breach of contract by contractors.

Combining ability analysis of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L) genotypes for resistance to bean fly (Ophiomyia spp.), and grain yield and component traits

Results showed significant genotype x location interaction effects on resistance parameters and agronomic traits, allowing selection of unique families adapted to different production environments.
