Designed preparation of nano rod shaped CeO2-MnOx catalysts with different Ce/Mn ratios and its highly efficient catalytic performance for chlorobenzene complete oxidation: New insights into structure-activity correlations

Jie Wan et al.

Summary: A series of nano rod shaped CeO2-MnOx catalysts with different Ce/Mn molar ratios were synthesized through a facile hydro-thermal method. The Ce/Mn-1/8 catalyst showed the highest catalytic activity and the least production of hazardous byproducts in the complete oxidation of chlorobenzene (CB). The outstanding performance of this catalyst can be attributed to both its unique morphology effect and the strong interaction between CeO2 and MnOx.

Morphology-engineering enhanced catalytic performance improvement of Fe-Ca-Ox/TiO2 for 1,2-dichlorobenzene oxidation

Jiaxin Wen et al.

Summary: In this study, FeCa-O-x/TiO2 catalysts supported with TiO2 nanorods, nanoparticles, and nanosheets were used for the oxidation of 1,2-dichlorobenzene. Among them, the nanosheet-supported catalyst (TiFe5Ca70-S) showed the highest catalytic activity and stability, attributed to its abundant surface oxygen, good low-temperature reducibility, strong interaction between alpha-Fe2O3 and TiO2, and synergic effect between CaCO3 and alpha-Fe2O3.

Synergistic degradation mechanism of chlorobenzene and NOx over the multi-active center catalyst: The role of NO2, Bronsted acidic site, oxygen vacancy

Guobo Li et al.

Summary: Efficient development of synergistic degradation technology to prevent the emission of chlorinated organics and NOx is a major challenge in environmental chemistry. The multi-active center catalyst (PdV/TiO2) showed excellent efficiency in removing CB and NO, with Pd playing a key role in adsorbing gas molecules and O vacancies structure accelerating gas adsorption and reaction.
