Sediment clues in flood mitigation: the key to determining the origin, transport, and degree of heavy metal contamination

K. V. Annammala et al.

Summary: This study utilized sediment fingerprinting, the MLEB method, and pollution indices to investigate sediment sources, erosion rates, and water quality status in the humid tropics of Malaysia. Results showed that logging and agricultural plantations were major contributors to sediment and had high pollution levels in the catchments.
