CdS nanoparticle decorated triazine-based COFs with enhanced photocatalytic activity for highly effective degradation of emerging contaminants

Summary: The photocatalytic technique using CdS nanoparticles decorated COF-based photocatalyst TpMA showed enhanced optical absorbability and effective inhibition of recombination of photogenerated electrons and holes, leading to excellent photocatalytic activity in activating persulfate to produce SO4- and OH under visible light irradiation. The 25% CdS@TpMA composite exhibited the best degradation ability for diclofenac sodium, tetracycline, and ibuprofen, with TOC removal efficiencies over 60% and great performance and structural stabilities. Furthermore, a possible photocatalytic mechanism was proposed, providing a promising candidate for degrading drug residues and novel viewpoints for further research.

A self-supported NiCo2O4/CuxO nanoforest with electronically modulated interfaces as an efficient electrocatalyst for overall water splitting
