Toktam Tavana et al.

Summary: In this study, the synergistic effect of EMMS and NiO@Pt/SWCNTs in a carbon paste matrix was examined for analyzing the electrochemical behavior of atropine. The NiO@Pt/SWCNTs/EMMS/CPE demonstrated excellent electrocatalytic activity towards atropine, with an increase in oxidation current and long-term stability for monitoring. The electroanalytical tool showed a recovery range of 97.6%-104.25% for monitoring atropine.

Cyanazine herbicide monitoring as a hazardous substance by a DNA nanostructure biosensor

Hassan Karimi-Maleh et al.

Summary: The research focused on monitoring cyanazine levels using an electrochemical strategy, synthesizing a Pt-Pd-CdO/SWCNTs composite and modifying a gold electrode for detection. The composite showed improved conductivity and lower charge-transfer resistance, allowing for monitoring of cyanazine at nanomolar concentrations. Differential pulse voltammograms indicated a linear dynamic range and detection limit, while molecular docking studies supported experimental results. The composite was successfully utilized for monitoring cyanazine in food and water samples.

Photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes: Pd-γ-Al2O3 and PdO-γ-Al2O3 as potential photocatalysts

Avvaru Praveen Kumar et al.

Summary: This study investigates the photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes using gamma-alumina surface-anchored palladium and palladium oxide nanoparticles synthesized by a novel co-precipitation technique. The results show that Pd-gamma-Al2O3 NPs exhibit better photocatalytic performance compared to PdO-gamma-Al2O3 NPs, with complete degradation of the organic dye BCG under ultraviolet light. The research suggests that Pd and PdO NPs anchored on the gamma-Al2O3 surface are effective catalysts for the photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes.
