Geosmithia associated with hardwood-infesting bark and ambrosia beetles, with the description of three new species from Poland

Summary: This study investigated Geosmithia species associated with 18 bark and ambrosia beetle species in hardwood ecosystems in Poland. Through various identification methods, a total of 11 Geosmithia species were identified, including two new species. Bark beetles were found to be vectors of Geosmithia species, but none of the isolates induced disease symptoms under experimental conditions.
