Summary: In this study, controlled growth of Ni-MOF on amino acid-functionalized graphene nanoplatelets was achieved by a solvothermal approach. The resulting nanocomposite showed a stable response and wide linear range for the oxidation of bisphenol A. The presence of hydroxyl and epoxy functional groups restricted the uncontrolled growth of Ni-MOF, leading to improved electrochemical properties.

Summary: The luminescent metal-organic frameworks (LMOFs) CDs@ZIF-8 composites were fabricated by embedding high quantum yield blue-emitting carbon dots (CDs) into zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8), serving as a fluorescent probe for selective and sensitive detection of dopamine (DA). The composites showed promising sensing performance with a wide concentration dynamic range and low detection limit for DA, successfully verified in detecting DA in complicated serum and urine samples.

Tunable electrochemical of electrosynthesized layer-by-layer multilayer films based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes and metal-organic framework as high-performance electrochemical sensor for simultaneous determination cadmium and lead

Summary: An effective strategy for the fabrication of novel layer-by-layer multilayer films modified electrodes in electrochemical sensor applications is proposed in this work. The newly constructed three-layer assembly of MWCNTs-COOH/UiO-66-NH2/MWCNTs-COOH/GCE as voltammetric sensor was adapted to simultaneous detection of Cd2+ and Pb2+. The combination of abundant adsorption sites of UiO-66-NH2 with excellent conductivity ability of MWCNTs-COOH, and the dominant characteristics of the chelation mechanisms between amine groups and heavy metal cations, strengthened its electrocatalytic activity.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are promising materials for ionophores due to their unique features, such as high surface area and porous structure. A carbon paste electrode based on a novel Cu-MOF with a nano-Schiff base linker was developed for accurate determination of Al(III) ions. The sensor exhibited excellent precision and accuracy in different real water and pharmaceutical samples, showing good agreement with atomic absorption spectroscopy results.

The nanocomposites were used to fabricate an electrochemical sensor for the simultaneous detection of hydroquinone (HQ) and catechol (CC) with improved performance compared to the untreated samples.
