Origins of major and minor ash constituents of solid recovered fuel for co-processing in the cement industry

Summary: SRF ash, containing valuable oxide elements, is recycled in the cement industry by incorporating its mineral content into the clinker. The study found that mixed or composite materials contribute the most to the recycling index of SRF, with limited recovery options for these fractions. Recycling mixed and contaminated materials in the cement industry could be a complementary option to existing recycling processes.
