Fundoplication is superior to medical therapy for Barrett's esophagus disease regression and progression: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Anti-reflux surgery for controlling respiratory symptoms of gastro- esophageal reflux disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: This study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy of anti-reflux surgery for controlling respiratory symptoms in GERD patients. Results showed that after surgery, there was significant improvement in cough and wheezing symptoms, with surgery presenting better outcomes compared to medical therapy. Physicians should consider surgical anti-reflux procedures for controlling respiratory symptoms in GERD patients.
