Young Stroke Survivors' Preferred Methods of Meeting Their Unique Needs Shaping Better Care

Jessica Keating et al.

Summary: The study found that methods for meeting the needs of young stroke survivors varied depending on the domain of need and participants' demographic and stroke-related characteristics. While face-to-face contact with a health care professional was popular, alternative methods such as a succinct list of tips or peer support were widely acceptable and sometimes preferred. This suggests the importance of developing non-traditional ways to address the unmet needs of young stroke survivors.
