Outcomes in Endoscopic and Operative Transgastric Pancreatic Debridement

Thomas K. Maatman et al.

Summary: For patients with favorable anatomical conditions, walled off pancreatic necrosis can be treated through endoscopic or operative transgastric debridement. While operative transgastric debridement resulted in better outcomes with fewer hospital readmissions and shorter inpatient stays, endoscopic debridement was associated with longer hospital stays.
