Nanoliquid Dressing with Enhancing Anti-Infection Performance under the Moderate Photothermal Effect for Wound Treatment

Yaming Zhou et al.

Summary: This study developed a novel nanoliquid dressing utilizing a mild photothermal heating strategy for safe healing of biofilm-infected wounds. With the use of copper sulfide nanoplates and a redox process induced by dilute nitric acid, excellent bactericidal efficiencies were achieved against antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Additionally, in vivo experiments showed increased healing rate and reduced inflammatory response in mice treated with the nanoliquid dressing.

Self-assembling combretastatin A4 incorporated protamine/nanodiamond hybrids for combined anti-angiogenesis and mild photothermal therapy in liver cancer

Yunhao Li et al.

Summary: Tumor angiogenesis is a crucial factor in tumor development and progression, and anti-angiogenesis therapy combined with mild photothermal therapy using nanodiamonds has shown synergistic potential for cancer treatment. The integration of hydrophobic antiangiogenesis agent CA4 into protamine sulfate-functionalized NDs resulted in a nanoplatform with high drug loading ability and enhanced cytotoxicity against liver cancer cells. In vivo experiments further demonstrated a highly synergistic anticancer efficacy of the CA4-NDs@PS nanoplatform with NIR laser irradiation in liver cancer-bearing mice.
