Association of Oily and Nonoily Fish Consumption and Fish Oil Supplements With Incident Type 2 Diabetes: A Large Population-Based Prospective Study

Summary: The study found that consumption of oily fish, but not nonoily fish, was associated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes in 392,287 middle-aged and older participants. Additionally, the use of fish oil supplements was also linked to a reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes, especially with consistent use over time.
