Two species morphologically resembling Diatrype s. str. were found in the monsoon evergreen broad-leaved forest in Pu'er, Yunnan, China. DNA sequence analysis confirmed that these species belong to Allodiatrype s. str. and are distinct from other species, resulting in their introduction as new species A. taiyangheensis and A. albelloscutata. These two species are the second records of Allodiatrype in China.
Two species that morphologically resemble Diatrype s. str. were collected from the monsoon evergreen broad-leaved forest in Pu???er, Yunnan, China. DNA sequence based phylogenetic analyses (combined ITS and ??-tubulin2) confirmed that these taxa belong to Allodiatrype s. str. (Diatrypaceae, Xylariales, Sordariomycetes) but are distinct from other species, thus introduced as new species A. taiyangheensis and A. albelloscutata. Both species are compared with other taxa of Allodiatrype. These two species are the second records of Allodiatrype from China.
