Facile and green fabrication of electrochemical sensor based on poly(glutamic acid) and carboxylated carbon nanosheets for the sensitive simultaneous detection of Cd(II) and Pb(II)

Shou-lian Wei et al.

Summary: This study developed a simple, effective, and sensitive electrochemical sensor based on a glassy carbon electrode modified with carboxylated carbon nanosheets and poly(glutamic acid) for simultaneous detection of trace amounts of Cd(II) and Pb(II). The sensor showed good performance in terms of sensitivity, selectivity, and could be applied for detection of Cd(II) and Pb(II) in water and rice samples.

An electrochemical sensor based on polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan-thermally reduced graphene composite modified glassy carbon electrode for sensitive voltammetric detection of lead

Linh Duy Nguyen et al.

Summary: A PVA/chitosan-TRG modified glassy carbon electrode was studied for determination of lead in aqueous samples using SWASV, showing significant enhancement in sensitivity and selectivity. The modified electrode had a detection range of 1 ppb to 50 ppb, with a LOD of 0.05 ppb, and could successfully detect Pb in real water samples.

Graphene Oxide as a Pb(II) Separation Medium: Has Part of the Story Been Overlooked?

Manh-Thuong Nguyen et al.

Summary: Our study demonstrates that functional groups like COOH have a significant impact on the adsorption properties of water and ions at liquid/graphene interfaces. It was found that COOH offers the best Pb(II) adsorption capacity among the studied functional groups, with Pb(II) adsorption increasing substantially with higher pH levels.
