Summary: The aim of this study was to enhance the electrocatalytic activity and stability of PdPt electrocatalyst for ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) by employing a ZrO2/MWCNT nanohybrid composite as the catalyst support and implementing an electrochemical activation approach. The results demonstrated significant improvement in electrocatalytic activity and the potential for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) when using the activated-PdPt-ZrO2/MWCNT nanohybrid. This research opens up possibilities for the development of high-performance carbon composite supported bimetallic nanohybrid electrocatalysts for large-scale energy applications.
