Excellent adsorption performance and capacity of modified layered ITQ-2 zeolites for elemental mercury removal and recycling from flue gas

Yongpeng Ma et al.

Summary: Adsorption is an effective method for removing and recycling high concentration of mercury from nonferrous metal smelting flue gas, especially with adsorbents like Mn/ITQ-2 zeolite which have large specific surface area and good Hg-0 removal efficiency. The study also found that Co-Mn/ITQ-2 zeolites exhibit high SO2 resistance performance and excellent regenerability, making them a promising option for mercury recycling from flue gas.

Effects of metal ions on Hg0 re-emission under air and oxy-fuel combustion atmospheres in a WFGD system

Jialing Xu et al.

Summary: Metal ions have varying effects on Hg-0 re-emission in different atmospheres, generally showing a significant suppression of re-emission. Fe2+, Fe3+, Mn2+, and Cu2+ have positive impacts on mercury stabilization in the liquid phase, with Fe2+/Fe3+ precipitates aiding in the adsorption of mercury in the solid phase.

Disordered MoS2 Nanosheets with Widened Interlayer Spacing for Elemental Mercury Adsorption from Nonferrous Smelting Flue Gas

Hui Liu et al.

Summary: The development of a sorbent with a large elemental mercury adsorption capacity under high SO2 concentration atmosphere is crucial for controlling mercury emissions. Through controlling crystallization, oxygen incorporation, and disorder engineering, the Hg-0 adsorption capacity of MoS2 nanosheets was significantly improved. The optimized structural and chemical properties provide an effective strategy to enhance the Hg-0 adsorption capacity of MoS2 nanosheets.
