Recent advances and perspective in metal coordination materials-based electrode materials for potassium-ion batteries

Fei Wang et al.

Summary: Recently, potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) have attracted widespread attention for their potential to address the impending energy crisis. Metal coordination materials, including metal-organic frameworks and Prussian blue derivatives, are considered promising electrode materials for KIBs due to their large ion diffusion channels, robust structures, open frameworks, and functionality. Optimization methods such as morphology engineering, doping, and compositing with other materials have been explored to enhance the K-ion storage properties of metal coordination materials in KIBs.
