Numerical approach to chaotic pattern formation in diffusive predator-prey system with Caputo fractional operator

Summary: This paper presents a reliable numerical method based on a novel alternating direction implicit finite difference scheme for solving the fractional reaction-diffusion system. Through a case study on the dynamics of predator-prey model, the scheme is applied and guidelines on parameter choice for numerical simulation are provided. Experimental results show a variety of spatiotemporal structures related to Turing patterns.
