Templated synthesis of NiO/SiO2 nanocomposite for dye removal applications: Adsorption kinetics and thermodynamic properties

Rimsha Rubab et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized NiO/SiO2 nanocomposite using a soft templating approach, showing excellent adsorption performance for Rhodamine B dye removal. The adsorption process followed pseudo-second-order kinetics and Langmuir isotherm model, with high adsorption capacity and stability.

Construction of dual Z-scheme NiO/NiFe2O4/Fe2O3 photocatalyst via incomplete solid state chemical combustion reactions for organic pollutant degradation with simultaneous hydrogen production

Xiaoxue Ma et al.

Summary: A dual Z-scheme NiO/NiFe2O4/Fe2O3 photocatalyst was prepared and showed excellent performance in the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue and hydrogen production. The catalyst exhibited good reusability and proposed a possible mechanism for the photocatalytic reaction, providing a new avenue for exploring simultaneous hydrogen production during the degradation of organic pollutants through photocatalysis.
