EWI-2 controls nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of EGFR signaling molecules and miRNA sorting in exosomes to inhibit prostate cancer cell metastasis

Chenying Fu et al.

Summary: The study reveals that EWI-2 can regulate the distribution of miRNA between cells and exosomes, as well as nuclear translocation of signaling molecules and miRNA through its localization on the nuclear membrane, thus regulating PCa cell metastasis via the EGFR-MAPK-ERK pathway.

TFE3 Regulates the Function of the Autophagy-Lysosome Pathway to Drive the Invasion and Metastasis of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma

Hongsheng Lu et al.

Summary: The study revealed that TFE3 overexpression in papillary thyroid carcinoma was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis, and promoted cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and migration. The positive relationship among the expression levels of TFE3, P62/SQSTM1, LC3, CTSL, and CTSB was identified in PTC cells. Silencing TFE3 inhibited the expression of autophagy-lysosome system-related proteins, while TFE3 overexpression had the opposite effects.
