Elucidating CO2 nanobubble interfacial reactivity and impacts on water chemistry

Gabriel Antonio Cerron-Calle et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that using carbon dioxide nanobubbles can significantly improve the efficiency of CO2 gas transfer and buffering capacity compared to traditional bubbles. Furthermore, the beta values of nanobubbles are significantly higher than traditional bubbles, providing a significant source of CO2 availability by using the nanobubble method.

Effect of nanobubble application on performance and structural characteristics of microbial aggregates

Wanting Xiao et al.

Summary: The study investigated the influence of nanobubble aeration on microbial aggregates, specifically activated sludge and biofilm, and found that it improved total nitrogen removal and enhanced the structure of microbial aggregates. The application of nanobubble also shifted the composition of functional substances in microbial aggregates and changed the morphology of biofilm. Additionally, it optimized the distribution of functional microorganisms and their metabolism pathways.

Generation and stability of bulk nanobubbles: A review and perspective

Limin Zhou et al.

Summary: Bulk nanobubbles (BNBs) are submicron gaseous domains dispersed in solutions, with a recent rapid growth in research and applications. Despite conventional theories predicting rapid dissolution of nanoscale gas bubbles in water, challenges remain in efficiently producing BNBs and determining their gaseous nature.
